Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what you type into the form so we can write and email your letter. We don't sell or share it for advertising, we use a small number of service providers to run the site, and we delete the letter text after 12 months.

1. Who We Are

DemandReady (www.demandready.io) is an online document-preparation service. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@demandready.io.

2. Information We Collect

Information about you, which you give us through the letter form:

Your name, mailing address and email address
The state and type of dispute
The facts of your dispute that you describe in the form, including dates, amounts and other details you choose to include

Information about the other party. To write your letter, the form asks for the name and mailing address of the person or business you are writing to (for example, your landlord, contractor or homeowners' association), and any details about them you include in your description. We use this only to prepare your letter.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; DemandReady never sees or stores it. We receive a payment confirmation, the amount paid and Stripe transaction identifiers.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request) for security and troubleshooting.

Please don't include sensitive information the letter doesn't need, such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or medical details.

3. How We Use It

To generate your letter and email it to you
To process your payment, issue refunds and handle payment disputes
To answer support requests and re-send letters
To keep business, tax and transaction records
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the service
To fix errors and improve how the service works

We do not use the contents of your letter for marketing, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

4. Who We Share It With

We share information only with service providers that help us run DemandReady, and only as needed for them to perform that work:

AI model provider (Anthropic): the facts you enter are sent to an AI model to draft your letter.
Payment processor (Stripe): to take payment and issue refunds.
Email delivery provider (Resend): to deliver your letter to your inbox.
Hosting provider (Railway): runs our servers and stores our database.
Email inbox provider (Google): if you write to our support address.
Website analytics (Google Analytics): page visits and usage, as described in section 5.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed, which search engine or site referred you, your general location at the city or region level, and device and browser type). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We set it up so that the contents of the letter form, your name, address, email and dispute details are never sent to Google Analytics. When you complete a purchase, we record that a $19 purchase happened, linked only to a Stripe transaction reference.

We do not use advertising cookies or ad networks, and we do not use analytics data to target ads. Stripe's checkout page may set its own cookies to process payment and prevent fraud; see Stripe's privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works normally either way.

Do Not Track. We do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not change our practices in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

6. How Long We Keep It

Unpaid form submissions: deleted automatically within a few hours if checkout isn't completed.
Letter text and the facts you entered: kept for 12 months after your purchase (so we can re-send your letter and handle refunds or payment disputes), then deleted automatically.
Transaction records (email address, letter type, state, amount, date and Stripe identifiers): kept as long as needed for tax and accounting records.

Our service providers keep their own records under their own retention policies.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@demandready.io from the address you used to order. We will respond within 30 days. We may keep records we are required to keep by law, such as transaction records. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law; we will honor those requests as the law requires.

If someone used DemandReady to write a letter to you and you have a question about your information, you can contact us at the same address.

8. Security

We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limit access to our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

DemandReady is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last Updated" date above. Changes apply going forward only.
